The 100% Safe XPL Test Exploit
The XPL Test Exploit is not an actual exploit and carries no payload.  It is a special stream of data (called a test signature) that has been created to enable you to test our product safely and to demonstrate that it is alerting when it should.  This test is completely safe and cannot result in an exploit infection.

RUN THE TEST


What happens when I click on the "RUN THE TEST" link?
When you click on the "RUN THE TEST" link, if you are running LinkScanner Pro or SocketShield and your protection is turned on in the Control Panel (the default setting) you'll see the test page popup first.

Depending on which alert level setting you have chosen in the LinkScanner Pro or SocketShield Control Panel;

It may alert you with a system tray slider:

Or it may present the full alert box:

What happens if I am NOT running LinkScanner Pro or SocketShield?
If you are not running LinkScanner Pro or SocketShield, or protection is not turned on in the Control Panel, when you click on the "RUN THE TEST" link, the following pop-up will be displayed:
